Charity Fundraising

The NKL believes in giving back to local communities by having each NKL division partner with music-related non-profits in their area. Our Austin divisions have partnered with the Austin School of Music to send local kids to "Rock Camp", Grounded in Music to provide music education to at-risk youth, the Austin Children's Theater to sponsor arts education within the community, and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians to provide health insurance to working Austin musicians.

While each division can choose the fundraiser of their choise, one of our more popular fundraisers is the "Costume Song Auction" in which league members can bid to force their friends to sing some of the worst karaoke songs ever, decked out in accompanying costumes:
